When servicing the 6.6L L5P Duramax, removing the upper intake components leaves the intake manifold openings exposed. With tools and hardware being handled directly above the engine, dropped bolts, nuts, tools, dirt, and other debris can easily fall inside.
These Intake Manifold Port Covers are designed to securely cover the exposed openings while you work, helping prevent hardware and debris from entering the intake in the first place. They provide a clean, reusable alternative to stuffing the ports with shop rags or trying to cover them with tape.
Made from semi-flexible TPU, the covers press securely into place and conform to the intake openings for a snug fit. The material is durable, oil resistant, and well suited for repeated use in a shop environment.
Installation Note: These covers are intentionally designed with a snug fit to stay securely in place during service. When new, they may require additional effort to install. The TPU will break in slightly after the first few uses, making installation and removal easier while maintaining a secure fit.
Each set includes two covers, one for each intake opening.
