On the 6.7L Powerstroke, the intake manifold openings sit facing straight upward directly beneath the cowl lip. During service, bolts, nuts, sockets, dirt, and other debris can easily be dropped from above and fall directly into the open intake.
The problem is that once something falls inside, it doesn't simply sit within reach. It can travel through the intake manifold and end up out of access above the valves. Retrieving a dropped bolt, socket, or other object can then require removing the intake manifold—turning a simple mistake into a major additional repair.
These Intake Manifold Port Covers are designed to securely cover the exposed openings while you work, preventing hardware and debris from entering the intake in the first place. They provide a clean, reusable alternative to stuffing the ports with shop rags or trying to cover them with tape.
Made from semi-flexible TPU, the covers press securely into place. The material is durable, oil resistant, and well suited for repeated use in a shop environment.
Installation Note: These covers are intentionally designed with a snug fit to stay securely in place during service. When new, they may require additional effort to install. The TPU will break in slightly after the first few uses, making installation and removal easier while maintaining a secure fit.
Each set includes two covers, one for each intake opening.
